There is an option with Lodgix to collect the guest name, age, and email address when a booking is made from your website. Note that this will not apply to bookings through any of the channels.
NOTE: this functionality will largely only be used when the individual booking the reservation is not the actual guest during the stay. Perhaps the reservation is being made by an assistant or a travel agent. In those instances, it can be beneficial to send reservation details to both the individual who made the booking and the actual guest.
These settings are found within property setup for each property, under the Rates / Rules Tab > Rate Settings...
Once enabled your direct booking form will look like this...
Once the booking is complete, the guest name and email will be shown to you within the guest control panel. Likewise, if the individual making the reservation did not enter any additional guest details at the time of booking, these details could be added after the fact. It might also be the case of a manual phone booking where you need to manually enter the additional guest name and email.
How to Communicate with the Additional Guest
When sending a manual email you can select "Guest List" from the CC Mode: dropdown and select the name of any guest on the reservation.
