Booking Confirmation
The Booking Notification trigger is sent to guests immediately after a booking is made and can be customized from the Triggers menu. We recommend using the [STAYLIO_APP] merge tag to provide guests with information on how to access their reservation in Staylio.
When the Open My Reservation link is clicked, it will open the Staylio app if it is already installed on the user’s device. If the app is not installed and the link is opened on a mobile device, the user will be directed to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the app.
If the link is opened on a desktop computer, the user will be taken to a webpage that provides a QR code and App Store links, allowing them to download the app on their mobile device. This shared link does not expire and can be used at any time for quick access to the guest’s reservation in Staylio.
Using this link allows guests to skip entering their invoice number, check-in date, and access code manually. Instead, they are prompted to sign in with their existing Staylio account or create a new one. This eliminates issues with expired links and gives guests full control and access to their account without requiring manual intervention from the property manager.
In the example below, the [BOOKING_SUMMARY] merge tag is used together with the [STAYLIO_APP] merge tag.
Staylio Merge Tag
There is a merge tag available to use within Lodgix to help market and share information about the Staylio guest app with your guests. This can be used within Triggers and Saved Replies.

Staylio Login
Staylio offers multiple secure ways for guests and shared guests to access reservations, making it easy to view important information while maintaining privacy and security.
Guests who click the link from the [STAYLIO_APP] merge tag will skip steps 1 and 2 below.
Enter Invoice Number & Check-In Date
Enter the Access Code provided to you.
Note: The access code is only required the first time a reservation is accessed. Once the reservation has been claimed, Staylio will no longer prompt for an access code and will automatically link future logins to the reservation.
Completing Your Staylio Login
After entering a valid access code, you’ll complete your Staylio signup by:
Entering your personal email address, or
Continuing with Google
This login method will be used for future access to your reservation within Staylio.
Important: The email used to sign in does not need to match the email used to make the reservation. When signing up with an email address, a magic link will be sent to that email, allowing the guest to securely sign in to the app.
