Enabling Push Notifications requires two steps to be taken in order to start receiving Push Notification as notification alerts.

  1. Enable Push Notification permissions on the device.

    1. Device permission settings is separate from Lodgix. It is best to always keep this enabled for Lodgix.com and Lodgix Admin App.

When enabling and disabling Push Notification in Lodgix for a specific device the change is instant. Disabling Push Notification for a device will not remove it from your account and Push Notifications will still display in the Notification Menu for that device. It will only stop the Push Notification as showing up as a Notification Alert on that device.

Editing Devices

Device names can be edited in Lodgix in the device list. When a device is first added to your account it will be given a generated name based on the device/browser currently used.

Devices on Multiple Accounts

A device can only be assigned to one account at a time. When impersonating another account as a subscriber viewing a team member in Lodgix the current device is not registered to that account. If a user logs out and logs in as another user not using the impersonating tool then that device will be removed from the first account and added to the second account. If you want the device to be back on the first account logout and log back into the first account. Whenever a device is added to an account it is removed from the pervious account. This will also reset the device name.

Notification Menu

The Notification Menu is accessed by clicking the Bell Icon at the top right on the blue header bar and clicking "View All Notifications". The Bell Icon dropdown menu will display the 10 most recent unread Push Notifications.

The notifications tab will display all notifications that have been sent to your account. It can be filtered by date sent, read/unread status, and search filter. There are also two buttons refresh and mark all as read.

The blue exclamation mark icon will display on the rows of notification that are not yet marked as read. Clicking the check icon will mark it as read and the curved arrow icon will mark it as unread. The view button will open the notification in a popup window where it can be fully viewed.
