How to Refresh the Lodgix MCP Tool List in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok

Learn how to refresh the Lodgix MCP tool list in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok to access newly added or updated tools.

Written by Bobby Wiles

If new tools have been added to the Lodgix MCP Server, or existing tools have been updated, your AI assistant may not display the latest tools immediately. You may need to refresh the tool list or reconnect Lodgix so your AI assistant can access the latest changes.

Before You Begin

Make sure the Lodgix MCP Server is enabled in your Lodgix account and that you have enabled any required permissions.

After making changes, start a new conversation with your AI assistant and try using the updated tools. If the tools still do not appear, follow the instructions for your platform below.

How to Refresh Lodgix in ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT in your web browser.

  2. Open Settings and navigate to Apps or Plugins, depending on your interface.

  3. Find the Lodgix connector and open its settings or management page.

  4. If a Refresh option is available, select it to reload the available tools.

  5. Start a new conversation.

  6. Enable Lodgix in the conversation if it is not already enabled.

  7. Ask ChatGPT to use the updated Lodgix functionality.

If you cannot find a refresh option or the new tools still do not appear, try removing and adding the Lodgix connector again. Follow the instructions in How to Connect Lodgix to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok.

Note: Available settings may vary depending on your ChatGPT plan and workspace configuration. If you use a managed workspace, an administrator may need to approve or manage the connector.

How to Refresh Lodgix in Claude

  1. Open Claude.

  2. Navigate to Customize → Connectors.

  3. Find Lodgix in your list of connectors.

  4. Open the connector's menu or settings and look for a Refresh tools list option, if available.

  5. Start a new conversation.

  6. Make sure the Lodgix connector is enabled for the conversation.

  7. Ask Claude to use the updated Lodgix tools.

If no refresh option is available, disconnect and reconnect the Lodgix connector. If necessary, remove the connector and add it again using the Lodgix connection instructions.

For Team and Enterprise accounts, an organization administrator may need to manage connector access.

How to Refresh Lodgix in Gemini

  1. Open Gemini.

  2. Start a new conversation.

  3. Check that the Lodgix custom app is available and enabled for your conversation.

  4. Ask Gemini to use the updated Lodgix tools.

If the new tools are still unavailable, open Gemini's settings and navigate to Connected Apps or Custom apps, depending on your interface.

If the option is available, disconnect and reconnect Lodgix, or remove and add the custom app again using the Lodgix connection instructions.

The availability and names of these settings depend on your Google account and Gemini version.

How to Refresh Lodgix in Grok

  1. Find the Lodgix connector.

  2. Open its settings and check whether a refresh option is available.

  3. If no refresh option is available, disconnect or remove the connector and add it again.

  4. Start a new conversation.

  5. Make sure Lodgix is available to the conversation, then ask Grok to use the updated tools.

For Business and Enterprise accounts, a team administrator may need to manage the connector.

Troubleshooting

The New Tools Still Do Not Appear

Try the following steps in order:

  1. Start a new conversation.

  2. Confirm that Lodgix is enabled for the conversation.

  3. Refresh the connector's tool list, if the option is available.

  4. If the tools are still missing, disconnect and reconnect the connector or remove and add it again.

The Tools Appear, but I Cannot Use Them

Check your Lodgix MCP settings. Some functionality requires additional permissions.

  • Enable Write Tools: Required for supported actions that create or modify information.

  • Enable Message Access: Required for supported tools that access guest inquiries and conversations.

  • Filter Personally Identifiable Information (PII): Controls the redaction of sensitive guest information in tool responses.

Only enable the permissions needed for your intended workflow.

The AI Assistant Says a Feature Is Unavailable

Ask the assistant to check which Lodgix tools are currently available to it. If a tool was recently added, refresh the connector or reconnect it, then try again in a new conversation.

I Still Cannot Access the Updated Tools

If the issue persists, contact Lodgix Support and include the following information:

  • The AI platform you are using.

  • The Lodgix tool or functionality you are trying to access.

  • Whether you refreshed or reconnected the connector.

  • Any error message you received.
