Taxes need to be set up by breaking out each individual tax. This way, your taxes can be reported correctly. Taxes can be configured from Settings > Deposit / Fees / Services / Taxes...

Click on the Taxes Tab

  1. Click the Taxes Tab

  2. Click the +Add Tax button to add a new tax

Configuring the Tax

  1. Name the tax

  2. Choose the type of tax. This will be used in reporting, QuickBooks, etc.

  3. Assign a value

  4. Choose percent or fixed

  5. Optionally add a date condition. This allows you to adjust the tax rate after a certain date. For example, if your tax rate is changing on January 1, 2027, you can charge the new tax for any reservations that start after that date, while continuing to charge the current tax rate for all other reservations.

  6. Optionally add a length of stay condition. This allows you to adjust the tax rate after X nights. For example, for many areas, when a stay exceeds 30 days the tax is no longer collected. So you would set the tax rate to 0% after 30 nights.

  7. Click OK to save

Add the Tax to Properties

  1. Select the tax

  2. Add or Remove from All properties or...

  3. Add to individual properties

The arrow shows how the table can be manipulated to show which properties the tax is assigned to (or not assigned).
